How You Can Help

The Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center has made great strides, not only in improving treatments available today, but also in developing those of the future. Our research efforts are at a crossroads. Significant private support is needed to sustain the momentum that has been building for over a decade. Donations from people like you will ensure the success and growth of our research efforts to restore hearing loss. You can support us in either of the following two ways:

  1. Write a check payable to the University of Washington, and send it to the following address:

    University of Washington
    VMBHRC

Tour de Bloedel is a cycling fundraiser for UW Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center’s Hearing Regeneration Initiative. It was an 18 miles course held on September 23, 2007 along a picturesque-yet-challenging route around Lake Washington. Faculty, affiliates, staff, and students of the University of Washington School of Medicine, and their family and friends were among the participants.

Funds were be raised by pledges made towards individual cyclists. All proceeds of the event went to the Hearing Regeneration Initiative (HRI) and to be matched by a private foundation $1 for $1.
